Room 4’s Soft Toys by Carlo

Teddy bears were invented in Germany and United States at around the same time. They were named after the American President Theodore “TR Roosevelt Junior” (Teddy). They were based on bear cubs. Teddy bears are quite popular with children and adults all over the world.

Teddy bears and other animals are now made worldwide. Room 4 students brought their favourite soft toys to share.

The mammoth is about as tall as a pen. He is about 26 cm long and the mammoth was designed in Australia and made in China. He is really soft. He has small ears and a long trunk. The mammoth has two tusks next to his trunk.

The kiwi is a boy. It belongs to Reilly and it is really soft. He also has a scarf that says “I love NZ.” The colour of the kiwi is light and dark brown. It was made in China. The kiwi is about 9.5 cm tall and 4 cm long. Its beak is 3.5 cm long.

The teddy bear belongs to Miss G. The colour of it is light brown and it has a red tummy, ears and feet. It is about 17 cm tall. It also has a round belly. The teddy bear is always sitting so that makes it shorter. It also has a green bow tie on its neck.
