Teddy bears were invented in Germany and the USA.
American president Theodore Roosevelt was who they were named after. They had
to ask his permission first. Teddy bears are one of the top children’s
presents.
Teddy bears and other soft animals are sold worldwide.
Room 4 brought their favourite soft toys to school to share.
The Teddy’s name is Truffles. Truffles is his
name because he is the colour of truffles. He is about 27cm tall which is a
tiny bit bigger than a writing book. He has a bit of a ripped nose since Emma’s
dog Monty chewed it. The teddy belongs to Emma. It sits on her bed.
The pig belongs to Emma. It sits on her beanbag. She is
called Oink-Oink. She is 31cm across. She is also 10cm tall. The pig is REALLY
fluffy and has piddly eyes.
The dog belongs to
Caitlin. He stays at her house. He has a
push button that sings “Who Let the Dogs Out?” when you press it. He wears red,
sparkly sunglasses. The dog is 24cm tall. That is the size of Emma’s maths
book.
